MECX Appoint Tony Fradley As Professional Head of Electrification

MECX Appoint Tony Fradley As Professional Head of Electrification

MECX Group are pleased to announce the appointment of Tony Fradley as Professional Head of Electrification.  Tony brings with him an abundance of rail expertise having worked in the industry for over 50 years.  His career goes back as far as 1971 when he went to work for British Rail as Senior & Technical Officer.  In 1992 Tony then took on the position of OLE & Electrification Engineer working across the Liverpool/Manchester to Euston, Bedford to Moorgate, NLL & WLL lines.  In 2004 Tony was then appointed as Network’s Rail Strategic Isolation Manager facilitating 25kv project works on the West Coast Route Mod Scheme.  Tony actually only finished working for Network Rail in May this year having been their Programme Operations Manager working on the Great Western Electrification Scheme.  We don’t believe there’s a piece of track in the UK that Tony hasn’t worked on! In Tony’s words…”the Railway is a very interesting workplace and a tremendous amount of personal skills are required in order to survive. Change is now an ongoing facet that Railway people will need to get accustomed to, more especially in terms of Health & Safety, Risk Assessments and the ramifications of legislation.  So my mantra to staff over the years has been ‘get a job done correctly, safely, on time, the first time – otherwise don’t bother.”
